SDR & FPGA
Multi-channel software defined radio built on Zynq SoCs and AD9361 transceivers, for MIMO, spectrum monitoring and RF recording.
Spectra-4 software defined radio
Spectra-4 pairs two Analog Devices AD9361 transceivers with a Xilinx Zynq-7035 SoC, giving four independent transmit and four independent receive chains from 70 MHz to 6 GHz on one board.
The Zynq's dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 runs the application while its programmable logic handles sample processing and hardware acceleration. SFP+ and Gigabit Ethernet move data off the board, and SATA 3, SD card and eMMC cover recording and storage.

What Spectra-4 is built for
MIMO and multi-channel links
Four transmit and four receive chains on one board run simultaneous transmission and reception across several RF channels.
Spectrum monitoring
Coverage from 70 MHz to 6 GHz suits monitoring and signal intelligence receivers, with SATA 3 for recording straight to an SSD.
Radar, direction finding and test
Several receive chains plus FPGA processing make it a base for radar, direction finding and RF test and measurement systems.
Embedded control
Two RS-485 ports, two RS-232 ports and 16 GPIO connect it to the rest of a system without extra hardware.
Frequently asked questions
What frequency range does Spectra-4 cover?
70 MHz to 6 GHz, set by its two AD9361 transceivers.
How many channels does it have?
Four independent transmit chains and four independent receive chains, which can transmit and receive at the same time.
How does data get off the board?
Over SFP+ or Gigabit Ethernet for streaming, with SATA 3 for recording to an SSD or HDD, and SD card or eMMC for boot and storage.
